About Positive Wave
Positive Wave is an annual music festival for the IT industry since 2018.
Participants are bands of three to eight members, of which at least one must work in the IT industry. At least one song must be composed by the band or written specially for the band. The bands represent a wide range of musical styles and genres.
This year's festival will be held in two stages: semi-finals followed by the final at the PHDays closing ceremony.
Twelve bands will participate in the semi-finals on April 25 and 26, 2019, at BIG by Boston Prime (located near Technopark subway station), with six bands playing each day. Each band will perform three songs. Total performance time by each band must not exceed 15 minutes.
Winners of the semi-finals will be determined by the judges, including a representative from each band playing on the other day of the semi-finals, and the audience. Four bands—two from each day of the semi-finals—will make it to the final.
The four finalists will perform 15-minute sets on the main PHDays stage at Crocus Expo on May 22, 2019. Each band will perform three songs. Our esteemed jury will rate the performances and name a winner.
The main prize will be filming of a promo video and a month-long campaign to spread the word about it on social networks, courtesy of the organizers. The awards ceremony will take place on May 22, 2019, right after the festival closing.
The festival closing ceremony will include a concert by famous Russian performer Sergey Bobunets.
